continuing on the idea of what shows should show up in reruns, we have the brilliant Rowan Atkinson, and his two great series, Black Adder, and Mr. Bean.
They are about as opposite as they can get, Mr. Bean is a show that even little kids can watch and laugh and laugh at, but adults will find it just as funny. Black Adder follows the fortunes of the Adder family throughout British history. The first season, it followed the 'traditional' British comedy formula, dumb nobles, smart servants; they changed that though, and Adder became the 'smart' one, surrounded by idiots. Very well written, sharp dialogue and wit.
Both are available as dvd sets.
